One of the selling features of my home of 3 years on James Island was that I have an Eagles Nest behind my backyard fence. Eagles are still protected so no one can build behind me. I love all the trees in my backyard and looking out into the woods behind them. I learned quickly of the “ee ee” sound the eagles make. I hear them often but their nest is hidden from view. I have so wanted to capture a photo of one of them flying overhead or landing on my fence or tree. (That was a dream). I have recently come to discover that they like hanging out on the top of the lights on the soccer field next to my house. I ventured over with my zoom lens and lo and behold, he was there. Resting majestically atop the lights. I asked permission for a photo shoot. And even though he didn’t “look” happy, I sensed he was OK. The “backdrop” wasn’t perfect, but finally I felt closer to the majestic, free energy of this beautiful creature.
